FW: Facts and Stats about Iraq

This makes you stop and think.

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January..... In the fair city of Detroit there were35 murders in the month of January.

That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following .

FDR... led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman... finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy... started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson... turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton... went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but... It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB! The Military moral is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

Not to nitpik but you have a few facts wrong. A good number are right, but:

FDR: Early December 11, Germany declares war on us, we then declare war on them.

With regards to crippling al-Qaida, didn't thety just take a few hostages and kill a number of Iraqi guards.

And: It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!
I do not think most people believe we are in FULL control of Iraq.

Your point is taken however.

Your growin' more than cotton.

How many Americans would die in Iraq if President Bush would have continued using the UN sanctions to keep saddam under the worlds scrutiny? 0

Germany and Japan were Allies, I hope you are not dumb enough to actually believe that the Axis of Evil is anything more than a sound bite. Iraq and Iran are enemys, and I doubt Kim Jon Il (I have no idead how to spell that) has ever set foot in either country.

Truman Started Vietnam - Kennedy's stance on Vietnam was one of withdrawl.

... 800 Military Advisors were sent into South Vietnam in 1960, under Eisenhower's administration. 16,000 personnel were in Vietnam during Kennedy's term. The United States was unsuccessful in controlling the opposing Communist rebels. The continuing failure in Vietnam was unpleasing to President Kennedy, particularly since the Bay of Pigs incident was still on the minds of many around him. Kennedy feared that if he pulled out of Vietnam, or if they lost he would lose the election. If they pulled out then it would create another red scare. But involvement threatened the lives of the military involved.
War is a multibillion dollar industry. Helicopters, ammunition, planes, and guns, employed millions of Americans. The nuclear weapons' research was another area of the military which had many top American officials involved with many of the contracting deals. Congress was not planning to pull out of Vietnam. But Kennedy realized that perhaps a Vietnam pull out would be the best option. Kennedy began to rework his Vietnam policy in late 1963.
In October, the press were told that plans existed for a Vietnam pull out. November 1-2, Kennedy supported the military coup to overthrow Diem. The two officials of the Viet Cong were assassinated, Diem and his brother Nhu. The assassinations were an attempt to open negotiations with the Viet Cong. On November 15, a U.S. Military Spokesman reported that 1,000 American men will return home beginning December 3. Link

Clinton and bin Laden = The main reasons were legal: there was no evidence that could be brought against Bin Laden in an American court. But former senior intelligence sources accuse the administration of a lack of commitment to the fight against terrorism.

Do You really consider Iraq taken?

Lol - funny thing is both the missing records and the WMD were destroyed by people employed by the Clintons.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

FDR: Early December 11, Germany declares war on us, we then declare war on them.
Actually, I think it was December 8th, but they did declare war on us first.
